OFA Good, Eyes CERFed Clear

We added Bob to our breeding program due to his excellent bloodline, disposition and health. He is a tireless worker with mental toughness and willingness to please. He is exceptionally friendly and loving to people and most dogs.

Bob started out as a cow dog, but due to an unfortunate accident with a horse, worked sheep only when he came to us. He is very biddable, has good stock sense and a forgiving attitude. He has bite when you need it but is gentle when necessary.

Bob started his training with Red Oliver. His father was Red's top winning trial dog "Roy". Bob was then polished up and made ready to trial by Russel McCord.

Bob had an extensive trial career with us in many venues and was competitive in them all. He took many High in Trials and Reserve High In Trials and was almost always in the money. Bob achieved his AKC herding championship with most of his points and placements coming from the open field courses. He always gave Alan 100% in everything they did. He is retired from the trial road, but is still hanging out here at home.

Bob produced litters with both Angel and Rosie and from those dogs come the foundation of the Alamar kennel. The dogs that are not trialing are actively working on farms and ranches around the country where they are carrying on the tradition of Alamar working Border Collies.
