Job Well Done to all of the Alamar Gang for all of the hard work for
the trial. From Friday night setup in the cold windy dark, then back
at it early in the dark Saturday morning and finishing with clean up
Sunday afternoon after the trial. And not to mention, everyone had
successes with their dogs.
Let me add that with the trial being held at Alamar, it takes a village… Special Thanks to Donna Walker who headed up the work crews to organize and have all the worker spots filled so things could go smoothly. I heard several comments that it was the best run trial people had ever been to. The food was fabulous due to the efforts of John and Anna Leal and their culinary talents. Courses were built quickly and efficiently and things went off without a hitch. We couldn’t pull it off without you. Thank you all.

A beautiful day yesterday playing on the farm at James place. We cut
down a tree, ran with the bulls, (make that ran from the bulls) smoked 3 chickens, drank a little and the boys smoked several cigars. Shot 3 armadillo's, had a Bon fire
and great times. Today started at a nice 37, the warmed to 72 - but

He may not have been first in every class, but, Chad and Gin were consistent all weekend, something to be proud of.
I'm not good at words but I have to say something about this weekend.
It was a very cold and wet and snowy weekend. The Alamar crew stepped up for a long, cold, rainy Saturday and showed their moxy by driving through the snow on Sunday morning to hold a 2nd day of trialing no matter the weather, if anyone would come. It was a messy weekend and setout dogs and handlers had to work and make sheep set out in some of the worst mud I have seen for a trial. I and Chris (Kaleigh Kandids) had to set up in the garage to keep our computers and equipment dry. Lunch and ribbons had to be held indoors. Alan and Marie certainly opened their whole house to the trial this weekend. I am very proud to be part of Alamar after this weekend. The progress I see with the dogs and handlers trained at Alamar is something to watch and I am envious of those who have been able to be out regularly this past year. Their hard work is showing. Alamar does it all, and still manages to take a miserable weekend and make it FUN. For those of you who could not make it out this weekend, you really missed something. Dogs, Sheep, and SNOW in Texas, in MARCH! This weekend was oddly motivating.

not the host club, but our facility was rented for the weekend
and The Alamar Gang stepped up to the plate in a big way. Everyone
who helped did an amazing job, but I want to do a HUGE shout out
to our stock handlers who worked all day long - Melissa & Tim! And
to the rest of the stock crew for different courses and assignments
- Marie, Stephanie, Alan, Chad, Terri, Anna and myself. It
