is a 40 pound dog who returned to Alamar after being placed in
a working home as a puppy. Joe’s story illustrates that
even as careful as we are about where our dogs go, sometimes
things are not what they seem. Joe had a pretty rough start to
life and was most likely handled pretty roughly by his owner
and his children. However, thanks to some good friends we were
alerted to Joe’s plight and were able to retrieve him from
the home where he had been abandoned. Joe will remain here at
Alamar for the rest of his life so he never has to be fearful
again and will get to work regularly.
the two years we have had Joe back, he has blossomed into a fabulous
farm dog and trial dog. In one year of trialing he has progressed
into Advanced competition and has multiple High and Reserve High
In Trials to his name. He still has some insecurities from his
early life, but we are slowly working through much of it. Check
the brags page for his trial results.
