ROSIE HAS FINISHED HER AKC HERDING CHAMPIONSHIP

HC HCH Amamar's Rosie O is ranked #11 in the United States in Advanced competitions according to The Border Colllie Society of America.

Rosie came into the house when Mike left us and promptly wormed her way into everyone’s heart.

Rosie is a traditionally marked female with a very athletic physique. Her PennHip score is in the top 80%. She is fast and agile. She is extremely friendly with people and dogs. She is also best friends with the head guard llama.

Rosie started her herding training August of 2002 and has progressed remarkably well! She completed her Herding Started title after 2 months of training at less than 18 months old with a High in Trial and placements in all legs. Her Started Sheep title in ASCA was accomplished with 2 first places and High Scoring other breed and a High in Trial. Her ASCA started duck title was completed with two first placements and 2 high scoring duck awards. Rosie has surpassed our wildest dreams as a stockdog and companion. As well as working sheep, Rosie has surprised us all with her equally impressive ability on cattle. She is tough but has a tremendous finesse in her ability to control and move them.  In the past 3 years Rosie has managed to accumulate multiple 1st places, High in Trials, and man awards and accomplishments. She is consistantly in the top placesments in ASCA, AHBA, AKC, and USBCHA trials. Her most useful attribute is, however, her ability at home on the farm. She is amazingly intelligent in figuring out a job and does it with very little help from us. She can handle ewes with lambs or the goats who want to fight, or cattle. She is passing this ability on to her offspring as well.

When she is not working stock she is spending her days as a therapy dog at school. We have never seen a dog with her ability to learn a new task and master it in as little as one repetion. Combined with her exceptional temperament it is a dynamite package!
